I don't like English
Many kids who begin their ESL journey later in life find it difficult to rapidly acquire the skills they need to become bilingual. This frustration makes it hard for them to enjoy this journey.
English is fun!
KNB focuses on natural learning processes. This means that your kids learn English in a way that is aligned with the way we are wired to learn language. This makes it not only easy to learn but the dopamine rush of acquiring a new skill keeps your kids motivated!
Reading is hard
As important as reading is, it is a difficult skill to master even for the kids who speak English as a first language. Learning to read for ESL kids can be really challenging if they don't have great support.

Kids learning ESL very often feel alone. The hard work they do at school cannot be used anywhere else and so they feel alone in their journey. Practice is so important but often the people in their lives are not able, through no fault of their own, to provide them with the opportunities too practice.

KNB introduces the concept of "Adventure Guides" via online classes, the kids can have someone to talk to in English. This weekly activity gives them a chance to make practical use of the English they are learning both in school and via the KNB program.

Practice makes perfect but application creates true ability. Many ESL students feel trapped in a cycle of constant learning with very little opportunity for practical application. This can be really demotivating as it seems that there is no point to their studies.

KNB is all about using English in the real world. Each book has a mini adventure that the kids can go on to help them put into practice what they have learnt. These are easy to implement and allow the kids to mimic the characters in the book. It is this real world application that brings home the learning for your kids!
